I have already reviewed the BIYLACLESEN version so I won’t be going over all of the details concerning it and I will be skipping those details for the Helikon tex version as well. I’m talking about sizes, colors and etc. In my full review of the Patriot I will cover those details. Differences : When looking at these jackets you would be correct in thinking that they are identical and that’s because they are; the overall design and look is the same but upon closer inspection you will see that the Helikon-Tex version has a number of substantial differences and it should considering that the price is double that of the BIYLACLESEN. Helikon has a zipper guard to block wind from entering the jacket - BIYLACLESEN doesn’t have this feature. Helikon features hood adjustments whereas the BIYLACLESEN doesn’t. Helikon features a media pass through ports, the BIYLACLESEN doesn’t Helikon uses stronger materials, higher quality zippers and you can feel the difference. Helikon fleece has reinforced elbows; this is a nice feature as the fleece in that area will wear with use. Helikon has pit zips which is AWESOME - BIYLACLESEN doesn’t have this feature. Helikon has adjustable wrist straps - BIYLACLESEN doesn’t BIYLACLESEN has slightly larger shoulder pockets Helikon has larger wrist pockets Helikon doesn’t have the pen pocket on the shoulder Helikon has clips in the chest pockets Helikon Fleece has more loose threads which is very surprising. They are of any concern when it comes to quality and durability but doesn’t look as good as it should. The BIYLACLESEN has very fewloose threads. ……. Thoughts and Impressions : If you handle the BIYLACLESEN fleece prior to the Helikon, your first impression is the weight and thickness of the materials. From there if you go to the Helikon the impression is just how much heavier and thicker that it is compared to the Chinese version. There is a noticeable difference between the two. In my opinion, the helikon is a premium version of common Chinese made tactical fleece and for roughly double the cost you are getting some rather important features. It is thicker, warmer, more adjustable, stronger and will last longer than the Chinese variants. The addition of the reinforced arms and the pit zippers are huge and are worth the additional investment; Fleece jackets will always wear the quickest at the elbows and with the Helikon version you will not have to worry about that happening. With the pit zips, these are vital; we are talking about heavyweight fleece jackets and because they are so warm such a feature really is needed. Think about your use cases for a jacket like this; It has to be cool and you aren’t moving or it has to be cold and you are moving to wear them comfortably. Otherwise you will find the jacket to be simply too hot. The pit zips allow for the user to wear the jacket in conditions which may not be as cold and balance out body temp. You can do that with the Helikon, no with the Chinese jacket. … Which would I pick : I’ll be honest, I like both jackets and after time with both, I would select the Helikon Tex version. The features that this jacket offers are worthy of the additional cost but if you have budget restraints I can still easily recommend the Chinese version. In my review of the BIYLACLESEN I spoke of the feel of the jacket and how it doesn’t inspire confidence as far as durability goes and I still stand by that; be gentle with it and it will serve you well. With the Helikon fleece, it inspires confidence and it feels like a product that is going to last a long time. It is worth double the cost in my opinion. ... Travelling back in time to speak to his teenage self, Rogers tries to put into words the things he wished to hear, as well as the dark feelings he held during his closeted youth. The album may appear to be about Rogers' sexuality, however, the intention is to give voice to the heavy feeling of harbouring a secret for a long period of time. Throughout the time-travelling journey of “Voyager”, Rogers is trying to extend his message to listeners out there who might feel lost, lonely, or misunderstood. While the story of “Voyager” has many cathartic elements to it, the album is meant to take the listener on a beautiful musical journey from start to finish. Waar komt fleece nu precies vandaan en hoe wordt het vandaag de dag geproduceerd? Het is één van onze meest verkochte stoffen en we geven je groot gelijk! Fleece is zo'n stof waar je alle kanten mee op kunt én die perfect is voor de beginnende creatieveling. Je hoeft fleece namelijk niet af te werken omdat het niet rafelt. Zo kun je er dus alle kanten mee op: een fleece deken, een warme fleece trui of vest, een snuffelbal voor je hond of zelfs hangmatjes voor ratten. Je kunt het allemaal makkelijk zelf maken! Als we terug gaan naar de geschiedenis van fleece, dan zien we dat deze stof lang niet altijd zo heeft geheten. Vroeger heette fleece namelijk cincella. Deze wollen stof werd gemaakt van een dier en geproduceerd in de Malden Mills fabriek. Een dierlijke grondstof is natuurlijk heel duur en daarom ontwikkelde de fabriek op een synthetische manier het polar fleece. Fleece stof wordt afhankelijk van de grondstof op verschillende manier gemaakt. De natuurlijke fleece, bijvoorbeeld van katoen of wol, wordt op een losse manier gebreid en daarna heel heet gewassen. Op deze manier ontstaat een vervilt uiterlijk. De polyester fleece wordt op een machinale manier gemaakt waardoor het een stuk sneller én goedkoper is. This is my Agenda Free Review. Style : Slim Fit Cut - I don’t agree with this, it’s more of a relaxed fit instead of a slim fit in my opinion. Speaking of sizing, this is always a bit subjective - I have a buddy who is quite big and the sizing was right for him too bit every body type is different so take this pro with a grain of salt. Cons : Heavy - Seriously, this is a pretty heavy fleece jacket - it surprised me when I first received it. There are warmer fleece jackets out there for the weight Non-compressible Zipper is on the left side instead of the right which most Americans are accustomed to. This might drive some people crazy Poor wind resistance - it cuts right through the material Wrists are SLIGHTLY stretchy and if you are difficult to pull over gloves that you may be wearing Interesting Point - The Helikon website isn’t a good source of accurate information for this jacket. I noticed when getting the details together last night for the review that the Helikon web site misstates the info. In one section it says this jacket has 3 pockets and then in ano Summary : Over the last couple of months, I have enjoyed wearing this jacket and don’t regret my purchase. It’s a high quality, warm enough jacket that really has a cool look to it. My biggest complaint is weight and compressibility - it’s surprisingly heavy and will take up a substantial amount of space if you have to store it inside of your backpack. For the weight, there are without a doubt warmer fleece jackets out on the market….if the warmth to weight ratio is important, look elsewhere. Talking about warmth, I can wear this jacket with just a t-shirt down into the mid 40’s. Going below the mid 40’s and not moving much, I find that an additional layer either under or over it is needed to be comfortable. Availability : Unfortunately availability of this jacket has been poor for the last couple of months; on the Helikon-Tex web site, the available sizes have been very limited with mainly small and x-small being in stock. I needed a medium and was able to locate that on Amazon but it did cost me a bit more than the retail price…I think I paid about $12 more than retail…. If you don’t find your size and color preference on the Helikon-Tex web site and don’t mind paying a bit more, you can likely find it on Amazon. Watch out for a web site, they are also an Amazon seller; military 1st - they price gouge on this jacket and with most products as well. 'Baarack', a sheep with an overgrown 78 pound fleece (35.4kg) had been roaming in the wild in Australia for several years before returning and saved after a satisfying shearing. Rescuers saud the overburdened sheep, named Baarack, had been found “wandering in the rugged Victorian bushland” by a property maintenance man who took it to Edgar’s Mission in Lancefield, Victoria, in early February, the shelter said.
